A self-hosted bridge lets Muse shop Amazon — cart only, never checkout

Repo: aasper03/muse-amazon-bypass (public, MIT license, created 2026-09-21).

Tagline: Muse Amazon shopping bypass: product search and add-to-cart for personal and business carts, on localhost over SSH or an optional public HTTPS connector.

README summary: A direct response to Amazon's 2026-09-20 block of AI agent shopping traffic. Provides an Amazon product search and add-to-cart HTTP API (port 8792) for Muse: run it on the machine Muse can already SSH into, point Muse at http://127.0.0.1:8792. One connection covers two carts (personal and business), each a Netscape cookie jar exported from a normal browser; the package includes no cookies or API keys. Search needs no login; add-to-cart does (add does not check out or pay). Also usable as a registered public HTTPS connector via credentials.request_api_access.

Why it made the cut

Capability with a hard boundary: the agent can shop and fill the cart, but the purchase itself stays human.
